- This is the frontispiece to a set of seven engravings showing the Acts of Mercy after Maarten de Vos (Hollstein 471-477). They were first published by the engraver Crispijn van de Passe; and subsequently by Adriaen Collaert, Theodoor Galle and Johannes Galle. All plates, except the frontispiece, are lettered with two lines of Latin in a cartouche below. For a complete set of the first edition, see 1868,0612.2046-2053; for the second edition (bound in an album; without the frontispiece) see 1948,0410.4.145-151.
