- This etching relates to a painting by Giulio dating to about 1526, which is now in a private collection (see Joannides, 'A marriage of St Catherine by Giulio Romano', Paragone 120, 2015, pp.13-17). The Master IQV copies Giulio's figural group, although rather than Giulio's landscape setting, he places them in an interior akin to W,1.24.
Master IQV displays difficulties in depicting the figures, which are distorted and out of proportion. The style is heavy-handed, suggesting that it is an early work by the printmaker. Jenkins 2017.
