Book of drawings by Carl Alexander von Heideloff, copied after antique images; containing images of knights, ladies and other figures showing the costume, and antique forniture; each image with letterpress or hand-written text. Together with 42 wood-engravings after some of the costume and furniture drawings, and a page from the 'Art Journal' with an article titled 'Original designs for furniture after ancient models by professor Carl Heideloff' with 5 wood-engravings showing chairs and tables.
Together with letters by Heideloff talking about the drawings in this book among other things. Bound at the British Museum bindery in red half-leather, , with raised bands, gold tooled ornaments and lettering at the spine, marbled endapeprs and gilded edges.
