Reid 5040. A letterpress tract with a wood engraved illustration on the title-page entitled: 'J.W. Howell's bubble of the general industry life and fire assurance and sick-fund friendly society, burst.'By George Cruikshank.
The illustration on the title-page, Reid 4397, represents, James W Howell, secretary and manager of the General Life and Fire Assurance Society, standing and holding a large clay pipe with both hands from which he blows an immense bubble, on this the title of the pamphlet. Lettered below the illustration: "Published by George Cruikshank, 48 Mornington Place."
Lettered at the end of the text: "London: Thomas Harrild, Printer, Salisbury Square and Silver Street."
