Reid 5044. A book of poems with an etched frontispiece illustration entitled 'London lyrics.' In a brown textile binding with a floral design in gold and "London Lyrics, Locker." lettered on the spine. With an etched frontispiece illustration by George Cruikshank.
Reid 2607. 'Building castles in the air.' Cupids engaged as workmen on an edifice; the architect, also a Cupid, directs them with his dart. Lettered below the image: 'Designed and etched by George Cruikshank.'
On the title-page: "London lyrics by Frederick Locker, with an illustration by George Cruikshank. With the logo used by Chiswick Press wood engraved below, a coat of arms of a lion, dolphin and anchor. Lettered at the foot of the page: "London: Chapman and Hall, Piccadilly. 1857." The text is intespersed with ornate designs and illuminated capital letters.
