In a marbled binding with the title lettered on the spine.
With a frontispiece illustration by George Cruikshank, Reid 1896, which represents "The attempt to outwit Mr Breif [sic]." The widow threatening to shoot the old lawyer on his wishing to stop her progress with the articles left in his charge for the identification of young Blocks.
"George Cruikshank," The title, "Vol III," publisher's name and date at the foot of the page.
Lettered on the title-page:
