Pamphlet without illustrations of 22 pages entitled: 'Prospectus of the Apocryphal New Testament.'
Lettered below the title:
"Containing two prefaces, the order of all the books, with the authorities; a table of the times and places of writing. The New Testament and other additions. To complete the first edition, and for the information of the inquirers respecting the work."
With the publisher's information at the foot of the page:
"London: Printed for William Hone, 45 Ludgate Hill, 1821. Price Sixpence."
On the verso: Contents of the prospectus, a publisher's note and the printer's details "J. McCreery, Took's Court, Chancery Lane, London."
On page xxii, 'Fragment of the second epistle of Clement to the Corinthians.' at the end of the text, "End of Fragment."
The last two pages of the text carry an advertisement for The Apocryphal New Testament.' printed for William Hone with a table of contents on the verso. Lettered at the end of the text "J. McCreery, Took's Court, Chancery Lane, London."
