- This run of print does not include all the prints from "Quadrins historiques" contained in the album; see 1863,0214.1205-1299 for rest of the illustrations.
"Quadrins historiques" were first published in 1553. The woodcuts were subsequently re-used by Jean de Tournes in various editions of the Bible (see for instance 1972,U.921.1-145 and 1904,0206.159) as well as in emblem books.
