- From a series of nine illustrations for Chaucer's Canterbury Tales designed by Mortimer, probably for an edition which was abandoned before publication. The page numbers on the illustrations do not correspond to any know editions. The British Library carries a copy of Thomas Tyrwhitt's edition of the Tales published in 1798 into which impressions of the Mortimer plates appear to have been added after publication (they are not included in other copies of the same edition). See Sunderland, No. 164, page 199.
