Portrait of Sir William de la More, full-length, standing to the right, in seventeenth century-style armour and a wide collar, a banner held in his right hand bearing the de la More arms with three greyhounds courant, with a crest and supporters being a griffon and a greyhound rampant, the sash of an officer over his left shoulder and a sword at his waist, his helmet and gauntlet on the ground at his feet, the Battle of Poitiers raging beyond between two cavalcades of knights, birds flying in the sky above; illustration to Guillim's "A Display of Heraldry" (1679)
