"Gli antichi sepolcri, overo mausolei Romani, ed Etruschi, trovati in Roma & in altri luoghi celebri; nelle quali si contengono molte erudizioni: delle memorie sepolcrali Raccolte, disegnate, & intagliate da Pietro Santi Bartoli Volume I" (Roma, Antonio de' Rossi) 1699, second edition; a series of 126 numbered plates by Bartoli, illustrating exterior and interior views of the tombs, sections of the buildings, floorplans, details of wall, floor and ceiling decorations and other artefacts, including: a frontispiece by Benoît Farjat; a titlepage; a dedication to Leopold, Duke of Lorraine; an introduction; an index of plates; a brief commentary to the plates; bound in leather boards with marbled paper and gilt-tooled motif on the spine.

- The introduction by the publisher De Rossi mentions a total of 4 volumes, but so far this is the only one I know of.
Being a second edition it includes some plates that do not appear in the first edition; for this reason the numbering on each plate does not correspond to the index. The correct numbering was hand-written on the top right corner of every page.
