- Curator's comments
- This is from a series of twenty-six prints etched by Jacquemart and representing vases. The plates were designed to serve as illustrations to Albert Jacquemart & Edmond Le Blant's "Histoire artistique, industrielle et commerciale de la porcelaine" (Paris: Techener, 1862); prior to this publication they were issued as a series, with a title-page etched by Jacquemart and dated from 1860.
Gonse also records two additionnal plates (Gonse cat. No.58 & 59); it is not clear whether these were added to the book or to the separate set.
