Honoré de Balzac "Les contes Drolatiques colligez ez Abbayes de Touraine et mis en lumière par le sieur de Balzac pour l'esbattement des pantagruelistes et non aultres" (London, John Camden Hotten) 1860, 5th edition; containing a total of 456 illustrations, some small vignettes and others taking the whole page, all of them with title and wood-engraver given at the list of illustrations. Including frontispiece showing a horde of men going towards a beautiful lady who is held on strings by a cupid above, table of contents, preface, prologue and epilogue.
