Four oval scenes, each related to religious events or saints celebrated in October; from left to right and from top to bottom, a decapitated saint holding his head in his arms, with decapitation scene in the background (Sts Denys, Eleutherius & Rusticus' Day, 9 October); the angel stopping Abraham from sacrificing Isaac (Abraham's Day, 9 October); three soldiers putting their armours and shield on the ground, and cavalrymen approaching from the right (St Gereon's Day, 10 October); two saints tied to posts and tortured by two men armed with daggers (Sts Probus & Andronicus' Day, 11 October). c.1632/35
