Four oval scenes, each related to religious events or saints celebrated in January; from left to right and top to bottom, St Maurus, a crozier in the hand, is about to save St Placid from drowning (St Maurus' Day, 15 January); a couple finding their son dressed in rags and lying dead on a straw bed (St John Calabytes' Day, 15 January); St Marcellus wearing a simple tunic and kneeling outside a stable, his mitre lying next to him (St Marcellus' Day, 16 January); a bearded saint receiving (?) a mitre and a crozier from a man standing before him (St Honoratus' Day, 16 January) . c.1632/35
