Four oval scenes, each related to religious events or saints celebrated in January; from left to right and top to bottom, a nun standing in a landscape and holding a candle that an angel is defending against a demon trying to blow it (St Geneviève's Day, 3 January); a Bishop standing at a pulpit and addressing an assembly gathered on the left (St Titus' Day, 4 January); the Adoration of the Three Magi (Epiphany, 6 January); figures gathered at the bottom of a column upon which stands St Simeon Stylites, with one of the figures pointing at a man being carried on a shaft in the background (St Simeon's Day, 5 January). c.1632/35
