- From a series of twelve formed by a title generally attributed to Collignon, ten views of Florence, and another view included in the set by Henriet but not engraved or designed by Callot.
The set was first published by Henriet and therefore, after 1630. But the date of the execution of the plates themselves, and indeed their attribution to Callot, has been disputed. While the general view has been that the landscapes were designed by Callot while he was was in Italy, some authors give the execution of the plates to Collignon (Mariette, Meaume). Lieure attributes the plates to Callot but for the wrong reasons: he identified the set as a series commissioned by Giovanni de' Medici which is mentioned in various documents; however, this commission concerned a view of Gradisca set on several plates which are now lost. Griffiths & Chapman argue that the drawings were made and etched by Israel Silvestre after Callot's death, based on ideas found in drawings in the possession of Henriet.
