Rostirolla transcribes a long entry dedicated to this drawing by Pierluigi Petrobelli as the sheet (together with the attached manuscript by Ghezzi) is a rare evidence of how orchestras were conducted at the time. Rostirolla is also drawing attention to the ingenious way the music score is been lit, with two open ended parchment rolls that can rotate to direct the light.
Rostirolla is also suggesting that the bass player behind Logroscino might be P.L. Ghezzi, on the basis of an alleged likeness with Ghezzi's self-portrait (Rostirolla 2001, no. 280), although it seems odd that Ghezzi does not mention this detail in the related manuscript (1859,0806.243).
