The inscription states that Father Casimiro was a camaldolese hermit, who at the time the caricature was drawn (June 1750) was Prior of the hermitage of Frascati and that he was from the Marche.
The camaldolese hermitage was actually near Frascati and was part of the Congregation of the Camaldolese of Montecorona.
For another caricature of the same sitter see 1859,0806.222.
