Also a canon of the proportions of the human figure, founded upon a diagram invented by John Gibson, Esq. R.A. member of the Academy of St Luke at Rome, etc. etc. with description, practical application, and illustrative outlines by Joseph Bonomi, sculptor, fellow of the society of literature, and member of the Syro-Egyptian Society' (London: Chapman & Hall; Henry G. Bohn) 1857; containing 3 folded diagrams of the human body by Bonomi printed in black and red, and smaller wood-engraved diagrams within the text. Together with second title-page printed in a coloured page, with vignette showing a graph; preface by Joseph Bonomi and introduction with wood-engraved image of Egyptian figures, and several blank pages at the end of the book. Bound at the BM bindery in red leather, gold lettering at the spine, marbled endpapers.
