By John Sell Cotman, author of a volume of miscellaneous etchings, and of figures of the sepulchral brasses of Norfolk and Suffolk' (London, Longman & Co & others), 1818; containing 1 untitled plate showing the ruins of a chuche's doorway amongst the description of the plates, and various etching by Cotman of views of churches, castles and ruins around Norfolk, various of the plates with multiple proofs in different states, proofs mentioned are before letters unless said otherwise:

Together with frontispiece showing half-lenght portrait of Cotman sitting on a chair and turned to the right with a paper in his hand, and manuscript letter from Cotman. With title-sheet and list of plates. Bound at the BM bindery in read leather with Britain's coat of arms in gold on the cover, raised bands and gold lettering on the spine, marbled endpapers and gilded edges.
