- Advertised with its pair, a plate representing Louis XIV meeting Philip IV of Spain, in 'Mercure', April 1728. Both were etched after compositions designed by Le Brun and his pupils for a series of fourteen tapestries executed from 1665 to 1672 and representing the main events of the life of Louis XIV.
