Two images; the first; two grotesque dwarfs, dressed in Eastern costume and holding oil-lamps, jeering at Sir Kenneth, who stands to the left with folded arms, the interior of a chapel, statues of saints in niches, ornamented pillars and a chequered floor, into which is cut an open trapdoor; the second; a soldier falling down from a pulpit, having pulled the cloak off Holdenough, who continues up the steps, the large congregation observing with horror and surprise; illustration to Scott's "Tales of the Crusaders" and "Woodstock" (1836)
