Von den Erfindern der ding' (Augsburg, Heinrich Steiner) 1544; book in German (from Latin) with 34 woodcuts illustrations, maps, initials, and decorative blocks, with 26 woodcuts by Jörg Breu the Elder (published elsewhere first) including Andolosia returning to London with the help of the wishing-hat, Pope with cardinals and other ecclesiastics, a preacher, the church on the mountain, the confession, the communion, the first marriage (repeated), conversation between a nun and a man in the thicket, with monastary in background, reconstruction of the twon Balesium, a scene of witchcraft, various tools, a man kneeling before enthroned Pope, mourning for the dead, a wealthy man, two men in office, Pope John deciding to hold the council of Constance, church scene, inspection of food at the council, the pope being crowned (repeated), preparing the altar for Greek Orthodox mass, Greek orthodox mass, a potter seated at his wheel, four seated men in discussion with cross at center; 5 woodcuts by Jörg Breu the Younger including Adam and Eve, and a woman between a gypsy and two gyspy women, peasants ploughing, Thucydides writing in his study, and Roman women kneeling around a statue of the good goddess; remaining woodcuts by Hans Weiditz and Hans Schäufelein. 1544
