John Vicars, 'True information of the beginning and cause of all our troubles how they have been hatched, and how prevented. Wherein wee may see the manifold contrivances and attempts of forraigne and home-bred enemies, against the Parliament, kingdome, and purity of religion. And how all their endeavours whether by force or fraud, never prospered. A work worthy to be kept in record, and to bee communicated to posterity' (London), 1648; containing 13 etchings within the text, mostly by Hollar, showing scenes of the English Civil War of 1642-51, each image with caption on top, within a rectangular border. Together with an ornament serving as headpiece on the frst page, and various blank pages at the back. Bound in red leather with gold tooled border on the covers and gold lettering on the spine, marbled endpapers and gilded edges.
