"Discours Historique sur la Peinture Ancienne", "Discours Historique sur la Peinture Moderne" and "Discours Historique sur la Gravure en Taille-Douce et sur la Gravure en Bois" from "Le Musée Français, Recueil complet des Tableaux, Statues et Bas-Reliefs, qui composent la Collection Nationale" (Paris, L.-É. Herhan) 1803-1809; containing 6 vignettes after Moreau le Jeune printed with the letterpress. The vignettes to the discourses on ancient and modern painting represent a scene of Apelles painting the Venus Anadyomene and Raphael in his studio, respectively; the vignette to the discourse on engraving represents a scene in an engraver's workshop. Green and gold binding from BM bindery.
