Description
The Jacopo Bellini album: The Conversion of St Paul, the saint in the centre knocked backwards by a blinding light from his fallen horse, a group of horsemen around him, with God the Father in the sky above surrounded by cherubim the composition continued to the left-hand page of the opening, 1855,0811.36 verso Leadpoint, the rays of light drawn with a ruler Verso: An arched pergola with figures and a dog passing through it, a horseman to the left, the composition continued from St Martin sharing his cloak on the right-hand page of the opening, 1855,0811.38 recto Leadpoint, some of the architecture drawn with the aid of a ruler and a compass
