A huissier (bailiff) at Napoléon's coronation; whole-length, facing the viewer and looking to the right, holding a baton, wearing a plumed cap and a garment bearing the Imperial eagles; in decorative frame with in the upper part an eagle within a medallion and at the bottom a cartouche with Napoleon's monogram, eagles, and thunderbolt. 1805/15
