- After the painting 'The Escape of Francesco Novello di Carrara, with his Wife, from the Duke of Milan', exhibited in 1850, which was in the Vernon collection and presented in 1847 by Robert Vernon to Tate.
The print was published in 'The Art Journal' of 1853 - see 1977,U.669 for published state.
