Rowlands, Rubens: Drawings and Sketches, BMP 1977
This sketch almost certainly dates from the end of the artist's career when he was living on his country estate, the Château de Steen, near Malines. A similar delicately executed sketch of a 'Woodland Scene', evidently done at the same period, is in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.
