- Curator's comments
- The block was probably originally cut around 1512; it was used as an illustration in the 1514 edition of the 'Missale Traiectense' published in Leiden, in which it was printed on parchment. This impression, on paper, was used as an illustration in 'Cornelius Aurelius', published in Leiden in 1517, folio 28r; the bottom portion of the woodblock has been covered; the Dutch text in letterpress on the verso begins "Die anderde divisie..."
