- This plate is from a series of three, based on Primaticcio's frescoes for the bedroom of the Duchesse d'Étampes at Fontainebleau. Refer to W,3.16 for further details on the scheme. Primaticcio's modello for this composition is at Chatsworth (inv. 186). See Jenkins 2017.
