Portrait of Horatio Nelson, half-length, standing slightly to left, with head tilted to left and turned to look to right; wearing sash over naval uniform with epaulettes, stars, two medals suspended from a ribbon around his neck, black neckerchief, his right sleeve pinned to front, in a roundel, surmounted by crown, flanked by the roundels, the one at left with Nelson's coat of arms, the other at right with his monument at St Pauls Cathedral; map below; highlights of Nelson's life listed with dates in letterpress below.
