Portrait of the chronologer William Parsons; bust, in profile to the right, with long hair, wearing breast plate and cloak; in decorated roundel on pedestal on panel with arabesque ornament, two putti holding bundles, on the left with shielf, bow and arrows and sword, and on the right a trumpet, sand timer and caduceus; later state with Parson's portrait replacing a Roman bust.
