- An earlier state of 1878,0713.4578. See 1850,0223.857 for comment on series. Nicholas Stogdon (email April 2020) kindly provided this information:
'There is a drawing in the Witt Collection, Courtauld which is a copy, in the same direction, of the print. The original extended drawing, indented for transfer, is in a private collection. It may have been one of those referred to in a letter to Francis Place from Pierce Tempest, the publisher, which includes the reminder '...Remember to bring Barlows 6 drawings wth you I beleeve we may have them Inlarged to the bigger size' (Hake, letter 10).
