Three illustrations to Edward Young's poems; after Stothard (Vernor & Hood, 1797 and 1802); among four prints pasted to the same album sheet.
'- he drops his mask, / Frowns out at full, they start, despair, expire / Page 116'; men disturbed from their drinking by death, which bestrides an upturned table, holding up the punch-bowl in one hand and pushing down one of the merry-makers on the right, his mask of a fashionable gentleman pushed aside; by Neagle, 1802.
'Hope, eager hope, the assassin of our joy, / All present blessings treading underfoot. / Page 162'; a young man standing with arms outstretched on the right, crown, orb and sceptre at his feet, encouraged by a female figure representing hope which stands leaning on an anchor and gesturing towards heaven; by Rothwell, 1797.
'Pray'r ardent opens heaven, lets down a stream / Of Glory on the consecrated hour / Of Man, in audience with the Deity / Page 230'; a man kneeling at a prie-dieu facing right, looking up to heaven, arms resting on an open book, with angels above; by Saunders, 1797.
