- Close to a portrait engraved by Marc Duval in 1579 (IFF 4) which was copied by Johannes Wierix (see R,6.59). Also see similar portrait engraved by Thomas de Leu in 1597 (see 1862,0208.150).
This is an impression of the first state, published by the widow of Pierre Gourdelle; the second state was published by Paul de la Houve. Gourdelle's widow married Paul de la Houve in 1597.
