Two apostles carrying Christ's body, draped in a white cloth, into the foreground, an old woman and St Mary Magdalen kneeling, mourning, on the left, John the Evangelist standing with two other apostles behind, a woman burying her face in heavy shawls to the right of them and another kneeling in the right foreground, reaching out to Christ's feet, a plate with ointments on the tomb-slab beside her and the mouth of the tomb behind her; after Dietrich; state before letters retouched, and letters of title reduced in size.
