- The webbed feet of the swan are touched in ink, and many areas are only scratched in outline. This plate is the one described by Schele, though she did not know this state. In its final state (illustrated by Schele, but not in the BM), there are four Latin verses, and a tablet with signatures at the bl. The BM also has a reversed version by Bos himself (see 1874-8-8-332).
