Cleopatra falling back against a couch to left, holding an asp to her breast with her left hand, her maid Iras dead on the floor at her feet and Charmian kneeling to right, supporting her mistress tearfully; title vignette for 'Antony and Cleopatra' (Act V Scene 2) in the 12 volume Longman octavo edition of Shakespeare (London 1807), after Samuel Woodforde; etched state in outline.
