Details of parts of York Cathedral, arranged in four sections, with subtitles: a vertical row to left, with a view and four details of the Anglo-Norman crypt, the external wall, north entrance, a pier and capital; in the upper centre, illustrations of the Early English style, views of the centre compartments of the north and south Transepts, cable moulding and a capital from the Transept, details of a pendant and cornice of the Chapter House; in the lower centre, illustrations of the Decorated style, a view of the West Front and three details from the Nave, the paraply of arches, an angel from the north Aisle, battlement; a vertical row on the right, illustrating the Perpendicular style, a view of the Western tower, the centre compartment of the East End and three details, the Altar Screen, boss and cornice of the Organ Screen; all in a frame decorated with foliate scrolls, with three crests and a view of the Cathedral in a roundel at the top.
