Curator's comments
After the painting by Rubens in the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Nancy, inv.no.234 (Rooses 253); which was until 1794 part of the polyptych 'The Miraculous Draught of Fishes' in the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-over-de-Dijlekerk in Mechelen. The upper part (a triptych) has been returned to the church in 1816.
