Female figure produced by modifying a waterworn river pebble (stone). The natural shape of the stone suggests a female figure in profile. It is possible to identify a figure whichever way up one places the stone. Either the natural shape suggests the upper trunk and buttocks with the inward curve below the buttocks and the legs produced by a break on one side of the stone and chipping on the other, or the natural contour of the stone forms the legs and buttocks and the upper body shape is produced by the break and trimming on the opposite edge. Neither way up does the figure have any breasts. The piece shows the artist's ability to appreciate the potential in a natural shape which needed little modification to create a figure. The stone is exotic to the site and distinctive amongst the natural limestone clasts.
