Fragment of mail-armour in the form of two trapezoids joined together on one narrow side producing an L-shape. The mail is formed of alternate rows of solid and riveted links. The solid links are of flat section, the riveted links of oval section with a broad overlap. The rivets appear to be wedge-shaped. The mail is in corroded but stable condition, a few links are missing leaving small gaps.

- Curator's comments
- Very difficult to understand what part of the mail garment this piece comes from. It is just possible that it might be the lower rear corner or a mail crinet, compare Royal Armouries no. VI (TR to supply).
