Bowl; soft-paste porcelain; painted in underglaze blue and red and gilt in the Japanese or Chinese Imari-style with a bird perched among flowering branches; in the well a single flower sprig; no marks.

- This bowl was made at the Vauxhall porcelain factory based at the Glasshouse Street Works, in Vauxhall, South London, when operated by the potter John Sanders (or from 1758, his heir William Sanders) and the merchant/entrepreneur Nicholas Crisp, between 1751 and 1764. Formerly attributed to the Longton Hall porcelain factory.
