Anklets were worn in Champagne in two periods, Hallstatt Dl (Fig. 1, type A) and La Tène II (Fig. 2, type h), and the types are quite different.
Six anklets of this type are recorded from Charvais, four in grave 32 and two in grave 35. This anklet may be one of those six, or it may be a seventh from the site. The four similar rings in Vadenay grave 22 are classified as bracelets, but they were not found in situ.
