7. The Dux brooch and its variants. La Tène Ib.
(d) Similar in shape to type a) but generally shorter and with an undecorated bow; six-coil spring with external chord; cf. Kruta, V., 1971, ‘Le trésor de Duchcov’, Ustí nad Labem, type IIIo (the decorated version, type III, seems to be absent from Champagne). Type IIIo brooches were found in grave groups at Bussy-le-Château ‘le Mont-Desclus’, Caurel ‘la Fosse Minore’ grave 2, Mont Troté grave 133 and Villesneux grave 4 (Fig. 2, type d).
