- Curator's comments
- Correspondence from Pierre-Yves Milcent from Toulouse University (25 Oct 2004) suggests this torc, which is registered as having no close provenance except 'France', is a torc known to have been found in 1836 in the Department of Loiret. Note in Greek and Roman register for this object reads: ' "Found in France" see Parliamentary Report 1867 p.41 no.23'.
