The shape is unusual and may be a 'Bier Krug' listed in the factory's 1711 inventory, although in the absence of a plaster model it has not been securely identified, see Claus Bolz, 'Formen des Böttgersteinzeugs im Jahre 1711', Keramik-Freunde der Schweiz, Nr. 96, March 1982, p. 35 (3) "1 dito (i.e. brown) Bier Krug glat Polliret (geschnitten und poliert)'.
