A pair of woman's socks, part of festive attire. Mid-calf length and made from black hand spun wool yarn. Knitted in the round using a variant of western stocking stitch. Top of sock 'darned' (embroidered) in wool with red crosses ('X') and yellow, brown and purple small square motifs. Plied yarn ties (unravelled).
